Project Summary:
artwork installation
Commissioned by Marina Central via vertical submarine for Singapore Design Week 2025
Care-Full Shelter is a site-specific public installation that reimagines the traditional Southeast Asian bamboo-feeding stool across three playful scales - Small, Medium and Large. Conceived as a spatial metaphor for care, the work explores how personal rituals of rest and nourishment can expand into a communal gathering and environmental responsibility.
Produced for Singapore Design Week 2025 at Marina Central District, the installation combines nostalgic form with eco-conscious function, constructed from recycled wood and powered by portable battery packs and solar panels. As the project's Art Director, I was responsible for translating concept to construction, guiding all visual elements from ideation to technical drawings.
